Dyers Mews is a bespoke Residential Service designed to support up to six autistic adults, or those with learning disabilities and associated needs, to develop the skills and confidence necessary to lead a more independent life.

Overview

Located in Milton Keynes, Dyers Mews supports six people in a nurturing and homely environment, where people’s rights, independence, and choices are actively promoted. The team at Dyers Mews work in partnership with each person that they support and their wider support teams to create clear care plans that support people on their journey to independence.

Tailored support, bespoke accommodation

Dyers Mews has six ensuite bedrooms, paired with various communal internal and external areas. Everyone at Dyers Mews has a flatlet with a bedroom that can be personalised to suit their needs and tastes, along with an Individual Care Package to meet their specific support needs.

At Dyers Mews, communal space includes two living rooms, a large dining room, and a kitchen, all of which are used for communal activities, gatherings and parties! There is also a communal garden that has decking, a patio, and a BBQ area.

Our recruitment process is focussed on values, ensuring that we only employ people who believe in kindness, involvement, quality of life and progress. We provide ongoing training, support and mentoring to ensure that our team have the skills required to deliver high quality care.

Our Clinical Support Team

In addition to our highly trained support teams, we also have a specialist in-house Clinical Support Team. The Clinical Support Team is a team of specialists from different disciplines, who work closely together to deliver additional support and expertise to the people we support at Precious.

By having an in-house team, we bring together professionals and practitioners from across different sectors to deliver person-centred, holistic care which focuses on the needs of the individual. With no need to apply and wait for support from external teams, we can provide this specialist support quickly and efficiently.

PBS

At Precious, we are committed to improving the support we provide by embedding Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) throughout the organisation. At its very core, PBS is about treating people with respect, putting their needs at the centre and enabling them to achieve the quality and enjoyment of life that everyone aspires to.

PBS takes a person-centred approach to identify which areas of support will be most helpful to each individual. This includes working closely with the people we support to make sure that their choices and goals are heard, respected and actioned.

Our Residential Model

Our residential provision is far removed from traditional models of support— with a focus on community integration, proactive development of independence and Individual Care Pathways.

Our qualified team members provide each person with the care and support that they need, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – providing a safe, positive and stimulating environment. Services are carefully designed to meet the needs of the individuals who live there —adapting provision to meet individual need, whilst ensuring staffing structures and training are built around each person.

Referrals

We provide a rapid response to referrals and we will normally arrange a professional assessment within a few days of your call.

Our highly experienced team will carry out a full and detailed pre-admission assessment, free of charge and without obligation, prior to a placement being offered. This focuses on understanding the unique needs of each person and forms the basis of the their support plans if they move into the service.
