We offer supported living plus services in Gloucester for autistic people and people with learning disabilities. The service also supports individuals who are stepping down from secure units and hospitals including those who may have experienced previous placement breakdowns. Accommodation is managed by Golden Lane Housing, with support provided by Precious.
We work closely with Golden Lane Housing to support people to organise their accommodation, funding, and tenancies. Support is provided by the Precious team (Gloucester Community Services), and tailored to meet the specific needs of each person, enabling them to develop the independence, skills, and confidence necessary to move on to more independent living over time.
As an award-winning provider of social care, Precious offers specialised support that is tailored around each individual’s needs. Our supported living and outreach teams work closely with Social Care professionals, Health and Community teams to ensure that support is co-produced with those we support, with a focus on ensuring independence, choice, empowerment and inclusion.
The accommodation in Gloucester, provided by Golden Lane, comprises of 6 two-bedroom flats alongside a variety of internal and external communal spaces. With a mix of personal and communal space, the flats balance the opportunity for independence with social integration and development.
Each person has their own bespoke flat and Individual Care Package to wrap around their specific support needs. Flats are available on the ground floor, comprising of two bedrooms, bathroom and living/dining room. All of the flats also have their own kitchen which can be locked if access needs to be restricted.
Having a range of bright and friendly communal areas is important to our ethos, encouraging independence and reducing social isolation by providing a welcoming space for communal activities and socialising. This includes two living rooms, a dining room and kitchen. The on-site IT suite also provides opportunities for learning new skills.
There is also a sensory room which has been specially designed to combine a range of stimuli, including lights, colours and furnishings, to help individuals develop and engage their senses. The opportunity for sensory stimulation and relaxation is also met by our on-site hot tub, which we hope to have open during the summer months.
Our Supported Living Plus services offer a step down for people who are ready to move away from residential care but who may need more support than supported living settings. This enables us to offer a higher level of initial support with a clear pathway for reducing support over time as people become more independent.
Accomodation is provided by Golden Lane Housing, who support people to maintain their own tenancies.

In addition to our highly trained support teams, we also have a specialist in-house Clinical Support Team. The Clinical Support Team is a team of specialists from different disciplines, who work closely together to deliver additional support and expertise to the people we support at Precious.
By having an in-house team, we bring together professionals and practitioners from across different sectors to deliver person-centred, holistic care which focuses on the needs of the individual. With no need to apply and wait for support from external teams, we can provide this specialist support quickly and efficiently.

At its very core, PBS is about treating people with respect, putting their needs at the centre and enabling them to achieve the quality and enjoyment of life that everyone aspires to.
PBS takes a person-centred approach to identify which areas of support will be most helpful to each individual. This includes working closely with the people we support to make sure that their choices and goals are heard, respected and actioned.
Based just outside Gloucester, in Maisemore, the flats benefit from access to local shops, restaurants, sport facilities, social groups and health services. Access to these services plays an essential role in community integration, social skill development and facilitating positive relationships outside of the service. The service also benefits from community links, transport links and a team with extensive knowledge of the local area.
We provide a rapid response to referrals and we will normally arrange a professional assessment within a few days of your call.
Our highly experienced team will carry out a full and detailed pre-admission assessment, free of charge and without obligation, prior to a placement being offered. This focuses on understanding the unique needs of each person and forms the basis of the their support plans if they move into the service.
