Who We Are:
We are an independent provider of innovative support services for young people and adults with complex needs

Our Origins

Precious Homes was established in 1994 with one registered service and has grown organically since then. We aim to provide opportunities for community living for those who may be facing limited choices due to behavioural challenges. We were inspired by a clear vision of providing robust person centred services that enabled individuals with challenging behaviour to safely remain in their local communities and experience a quality of life which included the realisation of their aspirations.

We are proud to be an independent company and attribute our success to our clear commitment to those who use our services.

Precious Homes’ dedicated staff teams are its most important asset and our investment in their continued professional development and training is essential.

How are we different?

We’re different from other care providers!

We provide assisted living to young people 16+ and adults with learning disabilities and we turn their lives around with award winning service and a big smile. Having earned a strong reputation among Local Authorities and won many awards beating most of our competitors for successfully supporting some of the most complex needs within the social care environment, the business has delivered 100% growth over the last three years to now offer 33 services across the UK.

This, without a doubt, confirms our commitment to best practice in people and business management.

Our Vision, Mission and Core Values

Our vision is to be a provider of choice and a supporter of progress in life.

Our mission is to support individuals to become as independent as possible and to successfully integrate into the community.

“We work hard to ensure our services exceed expectations through delivery of high quality, truly person-centred support.”

  • The individual is at the centre of all we do.
  • We are outcome focussed.
  • We treat everyone with dignity and respect.
  • We are polite, honest, open and transparent.
  • We are financially viable.
  • Choice, independence and control for the people we support.

There’s a lot to like! What I like most is the ability to shape the strategic direction of the company to ensure that the services we are creating are the best, most innovative, forward thinking and inspirational services being created in the UK today. This creates a wonderful, inspirational and fit for purpose environment for the people we support to live in, which makes them proud of their new homes. It also creates an excellent environment for our valued staff team to work in. To back this all up, we are investing hugely in employing the right people through our Talent Acquisition program and then enhancing their skills with a significant face to face training program.

“My key aim is to streamline current processes at Precious Homes so ultimately we have happy team members and are working in line with employment law, with my team covering all aspects of HR – including recruitment and retention and training.”

“I really want to make a presence and be more visible within services so people know who I am, what my team does and how we can support frontline team members. It’s been great to talk directly to Managers and Support Workers to see where the gaps are – helping me better plan my key priorities.”

As part of Precious Homes planned investment in HR, recruitment, retention and operational delivery, 2018 will see new team members, systems, ideas and processes driven forward across the organisation.

She is immensely impressed with the hard work and dedication shown from all the operations Directors, Managers and support workers, she is looking forward to working with all of them and ensuring that they know they have full HR support at all times.

“The work the operational teams do day in and day out is amazing, and the support and difference they make to people’s lives is considerable. Our role is to support them all to carry out their roles the best way they can – fully equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to drive forward excellence.”
