New “visitor pod” installed at Vermont House
10 Sep 2020
The Vermont “Visitor Pod” is a clear structure where visitors can meet with their loved ones and have private conversations away from the rest of the house (therefore limiting contact with other service users and hopefully maintaining a COVID free service). The fact that it is clear ensures that staff can monitor for any concerns and intervene as quickly as possible if necessary. The pod has been thoughtfully furnished to create a comfortable and welcoming space.
Marie says, “Although we are back to restricted visiting here again in Birmingham at present, the visitors’ pod is ready for when we can start welcoming families back into Vermont again. It is also a nice place to sit and enjoy the garden for the last parts of summer with protection from the elements.”.
