Success Story – Sue

Sue came to our service in London after many years in private secure hospitals. She had a long history of self injurous and destructive behaviour.

Sue has been with us just over six months and during this time has all but extinguished her self injurous behaviour.

Sue was initially on 1:1 support twenty four hours a day but after just three months in placement her level of support was reduced following negotiation with Sue and her social worker. We have now reduced Sue’s support hours to ten hours per day and are working with Sue to further reduce the support she requires

Sue now does voluntary work and accesses the community independently. It is anticipated she will move to a less supported provision in the next twelve months
