Proud to Support the “Championing Social Care” Initiative
05 Oct 2020
We are proud to support a new initiative that is dedicated to recognising the work and value of the social care sector. Mitesh Dhanak, Founder and Chairman at Precious Homes, is a member of the organising committee for the “Championing Social Care” movement, which is intended to shine a light on the amazing work done by all of our teams.
Mitesh commented: “I’ve always been incredibly proud of the team at Precious, but this year I am in awe. The Precious team, as well as the social care workforce around the UK, has been under tremendous pressure. Everywhere I look, I see examples of amazing people doing amazing things, going above and beyond the call of duty to deliver outstanding care and support. We want to shine a light on the work that you do and the incredible value social care has to our society.”
Lead by the CareTech Foundation, Hallmark Foundation, Sekoia and Majesticare Luxury Care Homes, as well Mitesh and other industry leaders, the Championing Social Care campaign also encompasses the Care Sector Fundraising Ball and the recent #SparkleforSocialCare campaign.
Looking ahead to 2021, the campaign will also promote the Care Home Open Day, as well as a new virtual event, “Care Sector’s got Talent!” which is dedicated to showcasing the amazing talents of the social care sector.
As well as putting social care into the spotlight, the initiative is focused on fundraising for sector-relevant charitable causes and to build on the achievements of the Care Sector Fundraising Ball.
