Precious Homes wins award for innovative use of technology

We are extremely proud to have been named the winner in the Best use of Technology category at this year’s Investors in People Awards.
Digital care planning
The Use of Technology award recognises our investment in Nourish, our digital care planning system. As a specialist provider of social care for people with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs, it is vital that we keep accurate, up to date records of the care provided.
The app-based system is used to plan, record, report and coordinate care on smartphones, tablets and computers. This improves the quality and consistency of the care offered by Precious Homes and empowers staff to keep accurate records with significantly less effort and margin for error than the paper-based system.
Greg Lapham, Chief Executive Officer at Precious Homes, explains: “We’re extremely proud to have been recognised for the way we’re using technology at Precious Homes. The system has changed the way we do things. It digitises all of our person-centred support information. This includes care plans, handovers, daily interactions and assessments – which ensures that all team members have access to care plan information at all times and at the touch of a button. Not only does this make life easier for our teams, it ensures consistency in the care we offer. The IIP Awards are all about improving the way we do things to make sure people are happier, healthier and stronger. The technology we use does that for our teams and for the people we support!”
Precious Homes is no stranger to the work of Investors in People, having held an IIP accreditation since 2002. Covering everything from business planning and leadership, to management effectiveness and performance measurement, the IIP accreditation offers a benchmark for best practice.
