Precious Homes Manager achieves NVQ level 5
26 Feb 2016
The NVQ is accepted by the CQC and recognised as a professional management qualification for the health and social care sector.
Lisa completed the qualification as part of her work Precious Homes and underwent a number of on-site assessments by an external examiner which included direct observations, examinations of work products and policies and the gathering of testimonies.
The NVQ is valuable training in best practice for the sector and will allow Lisa to share her knowledge and support other employees in Precious Homes further.
Lisa explains: “Completing my NVQ Level 5 has been a really positive experience and has enabled me to keep myself up to date in the industry. Just because I have other qualifications doesn’t mean that this NVQ hasn’t been worth the time and commitment.
“There is always more to learn in this ever evolving industry and reflective practise is something all of us at all levels should be adopting and this course helps you to reflect and improve.
“The NVQ has encouraged me to look at my own learning and will enable me to support others who are completing the course.”
Precious Homes’ Chief Operating Officer, Greg Lapham, congratulated Lisa on her fantastic achievement:
“I am delighted that Lisa has completed her NVQ level 5 and huge congratulations to her for doing this whilst being a mum and doing her day job at the same time! Well done Lisa!
“It is really gratifying to see more and more of our staff completing their NVQ level 5’s as this clearly has a positive impact on the quality of services we aim to deliver to those that we support.”
