Mulberry Court and Elderberry Mews Open Day
11 Jan 2019
We have two new services opening in Birmingham this month! Our team are busy getting ready for the open day of Mulberry Court and Elderberry Mews taking place on Wednesday 23rd January at the new services in Sutton Coldfield.
Mulberry Court and Elderberry Mews are both located in East Birmingham, and will provide 18 new bespoke apartments for individuals with learning disabilities and autism spectrum condition.
Our Director of Operation for Birmingham explains: “On the day we will open our doors to individuals, families, social workers, service users and Precious Homes’ team members to showcase our fantastic new services.”
Visitors are welcome to drop in from 10am – 6pm to meet the team and hear all about the new facilities.
Our Operations Director adds: “The site, previously a 23 bed apartment block, has been transformed into two separate services: a 12 bed Supported Living service and a 6 bed Supported Living Plus service. We will provide innovative and high quality support shaped around individual needs. We are excited to officially launch the new services and introduce our new team.”
Anthony Flaherty will be heading up the new team as the Registered Manager of both services. This appointment follows an internal promotion – with Anthony previously Deputy Manager at Arthur House. He said: “I officially start in my new role on the 1st January and am very proud to be part of this growing team. We are in the process of assessing prospective individuals for the services and busy recruiting Support Workers, with a host of assessment days taking place over the coming weeks.”
Anthony joined Precious Homes in November 2015 as a Support Worker, quickly working his way up to Senior, Team leader and then Deputy Manager at Arthur House. This epitomises the rapid career progression which is possible for all of our team members.
Anthony adds: “Precious Homes have really helped guide and progress my management skills over the past few years and I can’t wait to get going and begin my new role. I am excited to be part of these new services and look forward to meeting individuals, families and social care colleagues at our upcoming open day on 23rd January.”
