Day out at Chessington
02 Oct 2020
Donna, who is supported at Treow House in Luton, had a fantastic time exploring the zoo and safari and thrillseeking on the rides at Chessington recently. She also loved having an overnight stay in a very special themed room. As you can tell from the pics, Donna had a fantastic time making memories!
For the team at Treow, supporting Donna to have enjoyable days out, increase her independence, fulfill her goals, and live life to the max is an important part of their role. All of our teams work closely with the people that they support to identify their goals and aspirations by holding regular person-centred reviews.
These reviews are a perfect opportunity to work with the people we support – and their loved ones – to give them more control and choice in their lives. We sit down and chat about ‘what’s working’, ‘what’s not working’, ‘what is important’ to that person, as well as identifying key goals and milestones. As part of this, we work with individuals to explore their aspirations and put an action plan in place to help them to realise these goals – from education to life skills, days out to holidays.
Donna commented, “I really enjoyed myself I would love to go back there!”
