11 Dec 2013
The report is described as “a celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK” which are “the lifeblood of the UK economy”.
In its explanation of the selection process, the LSE emphasises the focus on metrics beyond short-term revenue and profit growth, using wider criteria to identify companies that it believes are of exceptional importance to UK economic growth and job creation. Testament to the company’s growth and success in recent years, Cupio Healthcare is the only company in the UK to be listed from the Mental Health Care sector.
Mitesh Dhanak, Managing Director of Cupio Healthcare and Precious Homes, commented, “This is great news for our business. To achieve this kind of recognition out of more than 4.5 million SMEs in the UK is testament to the hard work and commitment of the team. Their dedication, from senior management to the care and support teams, ensures that we offer the high level of service that helps the business to build a good reputation and, ultimately, expand the business.”
The company operates a number of registered and supported housing services which provide a range of specialist care services for adults and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. Cupio and Precious Homes have gone from strength to strength in recent years, achieving recognition and awards for quality, safety and specialist care.
Mitesh concluded, “As a team, we’ve always been inspired by our work and excited by the prospect of growing our business. To learn that the London Stock Exchange also finds us both inspirational and exciting, as well as naming us as part of the lifeblood of Britain’s economic recovery, is a true accolade.”
