Celebrating CQC Success
03 May 2019
The team at Precious Homes’ London based Supported Living service, The Avenue, is celebrating this month following their latest inspection results, receiving an overall good rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors scored The Avenue, and linked outreach provision, with a ‘good’ rating in all five areas of being safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Manager, Abasse Djamaldini, told us how CQC inspectors spent time in the service and captured feedback from individuals, team members, families and professionals, “We are all delighted that the hard work and dedication of the team who work at The Avenue, and who also provide nearby outreach support to individuals, has been recognised and acknowledged.”
The report, which is due to be published on the CQC website soon, captured some fantastic feedback as well as suggestions for improvements.
“We received some best practice guidance and tips from inspectors that we are busy implementing to take us to the next level. This is involving the people we support having their own bank cards to better self-manage their finances and increase their money management skills.
As a new manager of the service, Abasse, who also manages nearby service Verney Street, is proud of his new team, “There is a brilliant team in place and I am really looking forward to working with them to implement changes and drive forward success to the next level – working with the team, individuals, families and linked professionals to aim for outstanding!”
