About Precious

With more than 25 years of experience in the care industry, Precious is an award-winning provider of support services for autistic adults and/or adults with learning disabilities.

The ethos, vision and mission of Precious embrace independent living.

We focus on supporting individuals to make informed choices, take positive risks and fully integrate into the community.

Achieving Positive Outcomes

With residential and supported living services located throughout England, we have a strong emphasis on achieving positive outcomes and helping people to achieve their goals and live happy lives.

As well as involving the people we support and their families in ensuring that support is truly personalised to meet the individual needs of every person that we support, we shape provision and accommodation so that we can be responsive to behavioural, sensory, or physical needs.

We work hard at the planning stages of all placements to look at what people really need so that we can adapt or create the right provision around them.

Our values and guiding principles

Our guiding principles relate directly to our values. They are there to help us to deliver person-centered support to both the people we support and our team members, by making sure the things that are really important remain the focus of our work.

Kindness

Treat people as equals and act with kindness and respect at all times.

Involvement

Involve people in making their own life choices and decisions, including how the services and organisation is run.

Quality of life

Focus on understanding people, their needs and behaviours, and work to improve quality of life for everyone.

Progress

Teach people new skills and emphasise development for all, while embracing continuous improvement as an organisation.

Award-winning care

Over the years, Precious has been proud to celebrate key milestones, from our first Investors in People Accreditation in 2002 (an accolade we still hold today) to the development of our unique tiered services in Milton Keynes and Birmingham.

Over the years, we’ve also picked up the title of ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’, various Great British Care Awards, Laing Buisson Awards, National Learning Disability and Autism awards for the support we offer, and Pinders Healthcare Design Awards for the design of our services.

Despite our fast growth, we’ve remained true to our original aim of high-quality, individualised care and are extremely proud of the fantastic reputation we have built in the care industry.
