A Midlands Roundup
17 Jun 2019
This month we have a special news roundup from our growing Midlands region. With services opening, internal promotions, new managers and a host of success stories from the people we support – it’s certainly all go in the Midlands!
Regional Manager, Marcelo Moreira tells us more, “What a month for the Midlands region – full of successful stories for our team, the people we support and our services. To start we have welcomed Philip Durman to the team as a Peripatetic Manager – who is currently managing Swan Court. There has also been a well-deserved internal promotion for Karen Wells who has been appointed Manager at Ulysses House.
Karen is a great example of ‘working her way up’, being recognised for her skills and commitment to Precious Homes.
Marcelo adds: “Karen started her career with us as a Support Worker and then moved to Deputy Manager. I am delighted to see her start her new role as Manager and wish her lots of success.”
The senior management team also want to recognise Rebecca Crawford for her team’s fantastic CQC success.
“Becki took over the registration from Falcon Mews and Robins View recently and was given an overall GOOD rating from CQC after a focused inspection. This is a great achievement and one her and the team should be very proud of.”
The team have also welcomed lots of new individuals into services following personalised transitions and are looking forward to their three new services opening in Gloucestershire and Dudley over the coming months.
“Each person who is set to, or has moved in, has their own story to tell – but what runs through is that we are creating positive placements for individuals and our teams are working hard to achieve their individual outcomes, goals and dreams!”
The people we support in the region have plenty of successes, activities and achievements to celebrate this month and have shared their favourite snaps with us here in a photo gallery.
Marcelo adds: “All of the services have wonderful successes to shout about this month. This includes Sam who has settled in really well in his new home in Robins View; Shaun’s fantastic visit to the car museum; GL from Elderberry increasing her skills and confidence, and individuals from Ulysses House, Swan Court, Arthur House and Chamberlain Road being out and about enjoying the good weather!”
